How to embed music with custom controls?

I want to have a music on a site with a play and stop button without the default console that comes up with the music embed code.

here's my script I made a few years ago when I was learning stuff.
It was for a slide show script that plays downhill mt bike movies I filmed but couldn't load from the camera so I saved them as frames and made a javascript player.
