hi all!

i have windows XP (my local computer) with a virtual machine running inside it (windows server 2003) and i wanted to be able to view and transfer files to and from my computer and VM (windows server 2003) and i heard there is an easy way to do this, "sharing" ect...
but i have absolutely no idea of how to do anything, so a detailed description would be very helpful!
thankyou :)

What software are you using to run your virtual machine? VirtualPC has add on tools that allows you to do what you want.

VMWare and VirtualBox can both do this as well. It shouldn't be too hard to setup once we know which program you are using.

The easiest way is the set the network adapter on the VM to bridged mode. Then the VM will appear to be on the same network as the host machine. Then you can connect to and from it like any other computer on your network.
