Are you using a fixed width for your "content DIV"? If so, combine you left and right shadows and apply it as a background, with repeat-y.

Actually i already have one image coming on the top of content .

Is there any way i can have other images on the sides?

I have tried combining the image on left and right and applying as the background but nothing is appearing i don't know why

i am using

<div id ="wrapper">

<div id=header>

</div>

<div id="content"

</div>
<div id="footer">

</div>

</div>

The short answer is that you cannot have more than one background image in one div. There are many workarounds to this. Try Stu Nicholls CSS Play (http://www.cssplay.co.uk/) and put 'shadow' in the search box.
