They signify that you've posted in a thread, as a reminder maybe, that's all, nothing scary or to worry about.

Yup, my fave authors are Terry Pratchett, Tom Clancy, and Michael Crichton :)

I remember in my first year at primary school (age 5 or 6?) the other kids were learning ABC and I was reading Oliver Twist... my teacher had a heart attack when she realised I was actually reading it... I got put up two years as a result

See, my mum is a teacher so I got taught all that stuff real early on.

So, yeah, I love reading :)

Don't worry about it :p I was up and down like a yo-yo  I went to about 7 different schools coz my family kept moving (coz of my dad's job) and some schools allowed me to move up, others didn't...

The UK edu system is a darn sight better than the US edu system, but it still sucks :(

In the end I wound up teaching myself most stuff, which was actually a very good thing :D you actually LEARN that way! lol! :p

I have it on good authority - I know several Americans. No insult was intended.

Just ask joh6nn - he'll tell you all you need to know about US education :D
