Rewrite engine is used to reform you're urls, and is often used with search engine optimization or even to just make you're links cleaner.

Its an apache directive through mod_rewrite, please check out this link: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/1.3/mod/mod_rewrite.html

Hi Friends,

Pls help to resolve the issue.

Awstats url not working
"http://mysite.com/awstats/awstats.pl?config=mysite.com"

Error coming:
"Forbidden
You do not have permission to access this document."

When i comment the "RewriteEngine on" in .htaccess file, then Awstats Url works fine.

Should i need to add some code in .htacces, pls help to resolve this problem.
