File name extension problem

Hi,

I have following problem:
When I want save Jpg’s on IE6 on Windows 2000 Pro since 4 weeks I always get
on FILE NAME: .JPE and I have to change the last letter E to G.
If I save as JPE it save as PHOTOSHOP extension.
GIF saves normally and when I open the Web page with FIREFOX as with IE6 it save as JPG.
SAVE AS is always as JPG.
Can somebody advise and help on this error.
