Already got some .php features working, just need a more experienced coder to help me make the game. Must have knowledge in MySQL & .php.
Was looking for a partner who wasn't too busy to help code it, and if the game were to kick off then all profit from donations would be split 50:50.
Myself and the coder would own 50% of the game.
- That is nothing right now but its has the potential for being a good game with a fair bit of money to be made; if we get lucky.
I only really wanted it to be more of a hobby than fulltime job.
I was thinking more of a part-time project leaving us to attempt other things and work on this whenever we got time.
If your interested or just want to help me: calllum_johnson@hotmail.com

Do these games ever really produce any income? I see many of them on the forum but have not been able to determine if any of them were profitable.

A very small minority do actually turn a profit but most don't.

It should be a bit of fun, and I think its quite unqiue and appealing, I havent shown what my plans are for this game, as I want it to be secret until launch. I feel I will be able to generate income from this project.

Everyone considers their "idea" to be "profitable" while in reality all they have is a few ripped ideas from a bunch of other sites doing the exact same thing.
What makes your site / idea different from the thousands (not exaggerated) of others out there?

I'll take alot of time over developing the gameplay, obviously it has to include a few basics systems like all the other games (Wealth system, a credits system to buy with real money, mail system etc.) I'll hopefully try and develop some of my different ideas (Im not going to say them, as I dont want them ripped before I implement them).
And also... Thank god its not a bloody mafia game! aha, like I said im looking for someone to learn with me and use it as a hobby with a little bit of income coming in for us both; I think it has the potential to make quite alot of money, but who knows & only time will tell?

I'm not going to remove this post, but want to make it clear that without a business model or any real context for us to go on, you aren't likely to find a coder. Why? Because unless you find someone with a passion for this game (which we don't have any details about), you will not find a developer willing to do a lot of pro bono work with little guarantee of profit.
This is the only forum I will allow projects with no money guarantee to be placed. However I doubt most of them will end up paired with a good developer, in my experiences with most job boards like this.

It cant be too bad a propersition, I have posted this on other forums and within half an hour got a few people willing to help me as they respect me. Why? Because im actually taking the time to actually learn php and not just use a crappy mafia game script to make it like the zillions of other games.
Game scenario up on the site under about us section.

Although the scenario is different (well, not different to history; this sounds like the Russia which existed just before the February/March Revolution of 1917, in case anyone cares) there's not much which sets your game apart from the rest, and that's why I think you're not going to get a coder. Also, cautious people tend to stay away from equity stakes, for obvious reasons.

Yeah it is but with a more futuristic feel. I will develop my game so it is set apart from the rest, which requires time. I was just looking for someone who does know abit more .php than me to improve their skills as well lol, not some 10 year experienced coder.

I don't frequent other forums anymore, CF keeps me busy. Problem is we tend to get a lot of these requests, and most of the people who help out here are serious and know what they are doing, so they aren't hobbyists. When you do this kind of thing for a living, its hard to take valuable time for a project you have little connection to, and little to gain from.
The problem might be you have a good game idea, and the other 50 posts this month wanting to do the same thing were lousy. I'm not judging your idea, I'm telling you why its hard to find a quality coder to help. From the time I spent on other forums, there are many more hobbyists (people who do development for fun) and they would be more likely to pick up your responses. We just see so many here that its like getting the same email over and over.
