View Full Version : Image Problems
I have started creating a webpage and images are only randomly displaying, what is likely to cause this
On my page two images (flags) are used multiple times but only one image displays, then the next time the other image displays.
So say I have forty images to be displayed 20 of each flag only 1 lot of twenty is displaying then the other 20 display, it's random :(
Every now and then all 40 display but the main images vanish then!!!???!!!
What would cause this?
I have javascript codes on my page would they cause these problems? The Javascript codes are one for a drop down menu, another for a right click menu and finally the other is a clock.
I am using AceHTML Pro 4 and did the validation check and it displays no errors?

It always loaded all the images where you haven't specified src="" for me. I would suggest you delete the right-click menu the next time you want help though, there's no better way to make people not help you than doing something that makes it difficult for them.
I left the menu on because I wondered if that was part of the problem in some way.
I have not been able to solve the problem yet. Sometimes they all load, othertimes the japan flag loads, then other times the US flag loads
Would the fact the same image is used 40 times be a problem?
Is there a limit to how many times you can duplicate an image on a page?
I have uploaded the test page without the rightclick menu?
Many thanks for any help
Could the clock have something to do with the problem?
If so how could I correct this?

i can see all the flags down the right hand side in opera.

scroots did you refresh it a few times?
I don't get why my machine is doing it.. I removed the clock and it works but with the clock it will not...

ype i refreshed several times and i can still see the images on the side. In opera no clock is shown probably due to a script and the code in it.
so it might be down to your javascript, for your clock as i don't think opera does span tags.
in internet explorer after refreshing several times the images are still all there and the clock is still there aswell.
what broswer are you using?

I am using Internet Explorer v6.0 and it is still infrequent
I captured a screen to show what I keep getting

I suppose the clock will have to go

I was using win XP pro and IIS.
What happened to me was the 10 connection limit was reached due to the connection time out being set to 900seconds...
I lowered it to 10seconds and the connections were being droped in time to be re-used to load more images.
Hope this helps.
