Hi Everyone..

I'm having problems with my website on internet explorer. I have tested it on my PC and it looks ok, though too big. This is a problem because the footer seems to disable the scroll...

A friend also tests it and he says the site is all messed up - the footer is at the top, and the content box is below the menu! would anyone mind checking out the code to see what I can fix?

the url is: http://www.westeggproductions.com

how can i have a footer like this one with different code? I'm using the code from a list apart currently.

thanks!!

Hello sophshep,
The footer doesn't really disable the scroll, there is no scroll.
Your CSS sets the browser window height at 100%. That's one screen. If you open your site in a browser that sized to 800px by 600px then the whole site is jammed into that 600px high screen and that's it.

Have a look at a full-height solution that works really well - http://nopeople.com/CSS/full-height-layout/index.html
As always, view the source to see how it's done.

To fix yours so it will scroll, you need to tell both html and body to be height:100%;
like this -

html, body {
background:#FFFFFF;
margin-top:0px;
margin-bottom:40px;
height:100%;
width:100%;
}
