Hello, ladies and gentlemen

I have a website that I am trying to make professional (arent we all). My problem is my contact box on the page URL: http://genocidecrew.com/contact_us.html which contains the fields for my contact us box. I need a sophisticated, but simple code so that I can use these contact boxes that I have, without changing the form layout!

Think you can do it?

What exactly do you need? Form styling? To make the form actually work?

...sophisticated, but simple code so that I can use...

could mean anything. If you're just looking to jazz up the form, check here (http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2006/11/11/css-based-forms-modern-solutions/) and here (http://designmeltdown.com/chapters/Forms/).

Also, you should look into validating your page (http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fgenocidecrew.com%2Fcontact_us.html&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0), adding a DOCTYPE (http://www.alistapart.com/articles/doctype/), semantic code (http://www.boagworld.com/technology/semantic_code_what_why_how/) (with no styling in the markup) and why tables should not be used for layout purposes (http://phrogz.net/css/WhyTablesAreBadForLayout.html).

I am not looking to jazz up the form at all. I'm asking if anyone could help with coding the existing layout that I have. oh well ::shrugs::

Excuse my ignorance, but it looks like it's already coded? Are you asking for help in coding it properly? If so, check out the links I posted above (http://codingforums.com/showpost.php?p=795348&postcount=2). If you need specific help implementing any of those, ask away.

For what it's worth, you might consider starting over with a valid, tableless template and building from there. Check out this site (http://bonrouge.com/3c-hf-fluid.php)and this one (http://blog.html.it/layoutgala/).

sorry if I got carried away...

Yes I am just curious about how to insert the code to the existing layout that came with the template I purchased. Thanks for the links!

You wouldnt happen to have a simple PHP contact form that uses CAPTCHA and requires a MySQL Database and is simple to implement, would you? If this is the wrong forum let me know...

Ah. You need help making the form work. For what you're interested in, the PHP subforum is your bet best. PM a mod and ask them to move this post there (don't double post!).

Thanks a lot for the feedback. How would I go about finding a MOD? Can you suggest one or is my job to search?

Use "Report the post" at the left of the input panel. The little flag.

with this form i would like it to email me at a pre-determined email address, all the contact information provided at http://genocidecrew.com/contact_us.html so that people could contact me through that form instead of emailing me directly.

PS I dont have anything for the contact.php form yet except the contact us boxes shown at that same URL. Navigate to it and you will see that I have my background and layout all complete, but no coding for the contactus boxes. That is what I am trying to code

Just google for a contact form... there are heaps of free PHP contact form scripts. Download the source files, implement it to your website and customize it a bit so that it fits in your design

I think this one would suit for you and it has a very simple built-in spam filter.
