VPS Recommendations

Hello Again CodingForums,

I'm looking to move our company's websites to a Virtual Private Server and am hoping that any of you who've used VPS could share their thoughts.

Of course, price is always a concern, but service and support are more so.

I'd appreciate any insight.

I have a client who has a VPS with Spry.com (for almost a year now).

Support has been fine, as far as I could tell. I've only contacted them once and the support was very fast and professional. We've not noted any downtime (aside from a planned upgrade).

I'm not really sure on their pricing since I don't pay the bills, but as I recall it was in line with other VPS providers.

However, recently we have had an issue. The client paid for the hosting via his credit card. Within the past couple of weeks, the card expired - the client has already received the replacement card. But, apparently the client neglected to update his payment info at Spry. Spry never notified either my client nor myself regarding any problems processing a charge. Instead, and again without notice, simply suspended the account.

This qualifies as very poor customer service in my view and certainly not the way to keep a customer. I wouldn't be surprised if the client wants to move.

Thanks for the info. I was considering Spry but I don't like the sound of that.
