IE8 image border OK. Extended on Safari and FFox3.1

I am trying to place a border around the actual picture. This is easy with IE8 but FFox and Safari are not co-operating. I have treid all that I can think of. Superior intellects welcomed as usual.

Thanks coothead, needed to reduce the width of the links a little but it is now OK..
I forgot that floats need a width!
