I'm not sure if you can do this... but, try it like this (I'm just guessing here

<style>
BODY {background-properties: stretch;}
</style>

I just checked the CSS/CSS2 specifications on http://www.w3schools.com and there is no way to do what you want to do.

You could however have a layer that sits below all other layers which stretches the complete page - put an image in that layer and have the image stretch the layer.

You'd have to use all layers though.. :(

Use a layer with the image size set to !00%, Set the layer positioning to absolute and stick the code as the first thing after the <body> tag. Should do it.

Maybe I don't fully understand what it is you're trying to do... do you just want to take a normal image and have it appear in your page stretched to fill out the width? Setting WIDTH="100%" in your <img> tag will do that, and the image will still fit to the screen if you resize it. Setting a fixed value will retain whatever distortion you apply when the screen is resized. In other words, if the image is 40 px wide, and you define width as 300, you will get a seriously stretched image. Is that what you mean, or do you mean making an animation of the image Resizing?

Quiet Stormís code (on AndyBís server):

http://www.halfadot.com/freehelp/qs-demo.html

The script was written for NS4 and IE4, but Iím viewing it in IE6 with no problems. You prolly need to add NS6 compatibility to the script.
