Is there any way to manually delete items from the Startup?
Let me be clear.
I am talking about the System Configuration Utility, accessed by clicking Run and typing msconfig.
Under the Startup tab there is a list of programs that start when Windows starts. They can be checked to start and unchecked to not start.
I have discovered that by checking them all and then opening the Registry editor, I can delete the ones I don't ever want to start and they are removed from the Startup list.
Now I have a problem. Somewhere along the line, some smartass program installed uselessness into this Startup area. The program item and command line are a bunch of blocks and the location is missing either HKCU or HKLM and therefore it does not appear in the Registry.
I would like to know if there is any way to remove these two idiotic entries, such as can be done in the Add/Remove Software utility when a program is uninstalled but remains behind.
Thanks!

Download ccleaner from www.ccleaner.com

Once installed go to Tools > Startup and those entries should be there.

Ahh, how much do you love CCleaner?!
I had that program, but I guess it was an older version and didn't have this ability. I upgraded and it worked perfectly. Thank you very much!

I doubt your calculator was removed. It doesn't get rid of exe files. Looks more like a spam post to me. I doubt you've even used it.
