Lately every 10-15 seconds my pc slows down. When I look at performance in taks manager, my graph keeps peeking. I'm assuming either a virus or a rogue application. Is there any way to detect which process is causing this? It doesn't seem to be registering a jump on the processes tab. I think because it is so quick. Just freezes for a moment. It keeps jumping to 21% so I figured the easiest way would be to give me a message when an app uses more than 20% of cpu, but what kind of system monitor could I use to do that?

(running win2k server)

Look at the Performance program under the "Administrative Tools". It will allow you to graph the cpu utilization of each process individually and that should allow you to find the culprit.

Didnt realize you could have it graph each process. Makes a mess, but gets the job done.
