I know how to create a movieclip with actionscript. But how on earth can i insert a movieclip into a specific frame? When i create my clip currently, it is played across the whole timeline. I just want it to be shown in one frame. Please advise :(

You need some way to determine when to display the clip, so you have to either check the current frame before it is displayed.
If you put the actionscript on a certain frame it will load only on that one, and then if you navigate beyond that frame you will have to move it off stage or something.
That is such a show stopper.
Ok I give up.....
Let me just tell you what i am trying to do... maybe someone will just give me a simple solution .....
I have 30 images of a friend's designs which she has asked me to display on her website. It is very important that these images are not copied by her competition. Doing a print screen when the images are displayed is quite useless for the thief because the images have transparent backgrounds in specific areas. So if we can figure out a way to show these images in a flash swf then the images are pretty safe.
The only problem is, people can decompile the swf and just get the images. So to solve this, (or to make it more difficult) i decided to break each image into 100 parts. This will make stealing of the full image a lot more work.
I have broken up the images ...so now i have 3000 tiny images and it seems impossible for me to put everything back together again :D because of the movieclip thing.

Oh wow, ok that really helps me understand what you are trying to do.
So this is a very creative solution to this problem, but then it causes some major grief in a few ways. Regardless, nice idea!
1) You have to either embed all of the images directly (as you have done) increasing the loading size greatly
2) or you have to load them externally, which 3,000 requests is not advisable
So putting them in the library makes more sense. I mean a determined person will still be able to do it, but this puts a big damper on their efforts.
So you could fairly easily create automatic loops to handle the images if you have a certain pattern for the actionscript export titles...how are they named?
How did you split the images? How many wide and how many high per image? I hope they are all the same!
Then we will write a loop to add these images into one main movieclip, so it can then be more easily modified.
