Only vertical overflow

Here's the problem:

I'm trying to create a little 'chat box', and the actual content box is scrolling horizontally; which I don't want. I want the box to ONLY scroll for content vertically, and for the horizontal content to simply go to the next line when it reaches the end of the current line.

Any ideas?

try placing a <p> tag between the content and setting a width to it so it wont continue going to the right.

see if that helps!

It will do that if you have a continuous stream of letters with no spaces. Try putting spaces in and see what happens.
