Playing Media Files

Ive recently built a http file server. I have a number of avi files and mp4s that I want to open and play directly in safari and firefox.

The avi`s i can play in firefix but i dont get any kind of forward , pause buttons...

Can anyone help me out with this please...

You may want to embed a Quicktime player in your HTML to play the files. That way you'll get all of the buttons you're looking for.
