Form Variable

I want to make a form on one page and then carry the input into a param value of a html page. How can I go about doing this? I would use php, but I don't know if the php variable would work in a html page.

You could use a rule in your htaccess file, like
AddType application/x-httpd-php .html

What I mean is I have a html page with a form on it that has a username field. I want to submit the username they enter into another html page.
