Hey guys,

I need some extensive testing done on the selecting dates part of this website.

The images won't be displayed.

What I would like to be done here is test the selection of different dates on different browsers. Using the comboboxes and/or calender (pic next to the date of each section). Make sure you select at least one destination. Whether by city, state, country, or hotel.

When you click on search you'll be sent to the results page. You will either have an error or your selected dates will be displayed near the top.

If you have any problems please reply with details, details, details. What browser your using and Operating System. What dates were selected and what you got for results of those dates.
did you get different dates than you selected? or error? or works fine? ...etc...

Testing Site (http://www.besthotel.com/test)

Thanks,
Hogtied

IE 5.50
No problem. Quick Search & Return
Interesting is that Norton removed the pop-ups, but the page worked as intended with no error.

nn 7.0
* Must provide valid departure date or number of nights.
(Relevant or not, I have java disabled. Couldn't get results no matter what I tried, but no browser error returned)

NN 4.76
Would barely load the page, and wouldn't do anything after.

Win ME

Windows 2000
NS7: Works fine
NS4.7: Crashes!
IE 6: Works fine
Opera7: Can't get "check-in" day to get off "1". and "checkout" day reverts back to "1" when something month or day is changed. Otherwise works.

Mac OSX.2
NS7: Works fine
Safari: Thinks today is December and "Check Out" always gets changed to December. Days don't update either. No submit button.
IE5.2: Works. When you hit submit the next orange box appears on the bottom right corner of the monitor. Works though.

Mac OS9.2
NS4... not even going to try
IE 5.0: Same as for IE5.2 on OSX.2

I hope that proves helpful. :)

thanks dreamingdigital very helpful. I am wondering if people are only testing one date or just the combobox and not the calender.

About 80% of the people had problems with this page when it went live... just some info..

thanks for your responses..
