So I was reading some articles about compatibility of multiple monitors, but I wasn't sure whether or not my laptop is capable of it or not. Here is my laptop (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9183581&type=product&id=1218049412025).
I don't want to end up going out looking for a monitor or even buying one, and not being able to hook it up.
Anybody here actually using dual or tri monitors? How do you like it?

Most laptops are. From what I can see the laptop you have can. To be sure, look at the connections on the back, if you can find something that looks like either of these:
DVI

VGA

Then chances are you can just stick the monitor in and set it up straight away. I still suggest you take your laptop round a friends house and just see if you can plug their monitor into it.
As for your other question, I did have multiple for a monitors for a while. But they were different sized screens and it became annoying, if I had 2 monitors of the same size I'd happily get back into using 2 screens. Definitely useful, do you developing on one screen. The results on the other, or graphics on one screen programming on the other. I say go for it.
Oh also, another good give away is, if you're on windows. Right click on your desktop and view your display settings. If it shows 2 monitors (one greyed out) you can be pretty certain you can support dual monitors.

Thanks. I have the vga hookup. I'll start looking around for a monitor. I do have other monitors in my house, but they are hooked up to other computers so I can test it.
Thanks for the help

Why did you post this in geek news and humor?
I have moved it to computer issues.
