i am trying to make an interactive scroll menu - with the layout kinda like the one on audi (special features) but with more links and scrolling.

http://www.audi.com/com/en/new_cars/new_cars.jsp

I want a menu that scrolls and when you rollover the link the image above changes.

if anyone knows how to do this could you please please help me!!!!

thanks,
kova

I'm not sure what is so interactive about the menu on audi site - simple hover effects. As long as your compatiblity requirements do not expand to NS4.*, Opera and other non-compliant browsers, I can do pretty much any menu you want, examples:
http://www.ime.uri.edu
http://www.ime.uri.edu/EMRL
http://www.klproductions.com/Home.html (still under construction... <OT> Beetle, how long did it take you to redo your site:D  </OT>) - on this one set the presentation style to XPThemeL and make the window smaller to see the scrolling on both horizontal tabs and vertical menu
and anything inbetween...

thanks vladdy,

this is what i have done with the scroll so far. (image of it)

I want the image to change when the user roll overs the different text links in the scroll. (each text link will correspond to a diff image)

does that make sense? i can email you the file if you like.

thanks for your help!!:)

Since the image is in the same place this can be done with CSS only.... let me see if I can dig the link to a tutorial I came across once...
... not a tutorial, just an example : http://hem.bredband.net/stehus/logd/downloads.html

Well, I started with the concept around mid-September and finished on January 29th (http://www.peterbailey.net/news/5/). Now, that was working on it sometimes only a hour a week. Start to finish I'd say I gave it 60 hours or so.

My old site can still be seen at www.peterbailey.net/old/ but I don't maintain it anymore.

Why do you ask?
