hi,

welcome to cf, :)

invalid html markup:

http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.expert-bookings.com%2F

after you fix it, validate css:

http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?profile=css2&warning=2&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.expert-bookings.com%2F

- no metatags, keywords, description.
- probably can optimized to load faster, not sure.

page in romanian is a english/romanian mushup, I know what problem you have but is ugly
fix at least things like:
Tipul Unitatii de Cazare: Select Property

best regards

I like the concept of the layout... but I don't think you've executed it perfectly.

Specifically, I like how the search tool is the first thing my eyes see. However, I don't like the placement of the "Top Hotels" next to it... you should probably have the "Top Destinations" panel in its place so it doesn't fall below the fold.

Otherwise, the color scheme is pretty good (not great) and you definitely need help with SEO. All said, I think you're on the right track.

I did a quick search, decided to try Penzance. As usual (and I find it very annoying) instead of being able to select England, I had to settle for UK. Then found that Penzance wasn't listed so that put an end to that.

Searched Truro instead and found one hotel listed. The one thing I found disappointing was that I could not find a link to the hotels' website although it's mentioned in the text.

Interesting colour scheme, makes a change to see something different.

Thank you for you message. The properties list is expanding each week, at the moment there are over 29 500 establishments. Maybe Penzance will follow. In my opinion, the hotel's information page on our website provides ample info about the property. The option with the hotel's webpage would attract properties who only want a free backlink to their site and are not interested in receiving any bookings from our system.

Kind regards,
Iulian

hi Iulian,

I see your problem with "free backlinks", could you offer the hotels an affiliate scheme where they pay a fee for having a link.

I agree that the information provided for the hotels is comprehensive, it's just a personal preference being able to go to the hotels site.

I like the site overall. It has a nice layout. Although, the quick search seems out of place, because it's the only blue thing on the page.

You have the main table width set to 1032, meaning that I have to scroll left-to-right if I am using 1024x768 resolution. Many visitors still do. I would not go beyond 990 to account for the vertical scrollbar and the browser window border. Horizontal scrolling is a big turn-off to me. I know it isn't by much, but your menu bar and your footer are cut off somewhat at the right.

I do not read the non-English language - is is Romanian? Anyway, the text on the properties is still in English. Perhaps you know that if it's still under development. Also, I would consider making the non-English site be something like www.expert-bookings.com/ro or ro.expert-bookings.com. Otherwise, because the language selector is in JavaScript, if there are no other links to get to the non-English content, that content will not be crawled and indexed by search engines. If organic search is important to you, then this is a rather large issue.

Good luck!
