How can I switch aero transparency off in Windows 7?
EDIT: Found it!
To disable Windows Aero or switch between Aero Glass and Aero Basic themes (or any of the other themes):
1. Right-click on any blank spot on desktop area.
2. On the pop up right click contextual menu, and select “Personalize”.
3. Select “Windows Color and Appearance” option.

Wrong forum, Frank?
As for your question, right click on the desktop, go to Personalization, scroll down to the Ease of Access themes and choose Windows 7 Basic (the first one on mine.)

Good morning Frank,
How do you like W7?
It's running good on this machine but it's brand new and all the latest hardware.
For aero, look at this link:

Thanks CyanLight.
As you can see from above, I found it myself but thanks for your help.
Excavator.
I do like it so far. It is much less intrusive than Vista. I'm not so happy with some of the presentations of menus. But; that's just personal choice.
I'm a great believer in the mantra that,
'If a thing does not need to be changed; then it needs NOT to be changed. It's probably an age thing. I just get accustomed to a layout only to find that it has been changed just for the sake of it. At 83, change does not always come easily.

Oh well! the times they are a changing.
