View Full Version : E-Mail Form Script Request
03-02-2003, 03:14 AM
I need an html form script that will send my visitor's completed form to my e-mail. I know how to set up the form on my contact page, I don't have the script to make their info come to my e-mail box. Web address where I will have the form posted is www.saveondental.org
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

You need to go serverside for this.
Can you use ASP, PHP or CGI on your site? If so I can whip up a script for you else you could try http://www.solidscripts.com form mailer.
<FORM METHOD=POST ENCTYPE="text/plain" ACTION="mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org">
that should send the stuff they input in your form to an e-mail address..that is all I know about that..well and that it is not that good on browsers b4 version 4

That is pretty much out of the question. I would use solidscripts form mail over that any day. (No offence intended Whammy though can't see you taking that the wrong way)
Firstly what if the user doesn't have an account which is the default mailer? Like they have a yahoo/hotmail or something?
Secondly they will get a nasty little pop-up dialogue telling them that the form data may be intercepted or something like that which will scare a lot of people off.

Thanks Mhtml for the advise. I haven't been able to find the Mail Form script you mentioned at http://www.solidscripts.com.
Still haven't figured this thing out.
I did have in days gone past a script that sent form info through Microsoft and then directly to me, but can't find it anymore. That one wrked great.
Thanks again for any help on this
Another option is http://www.cutandpastescripts.com/

Thanks everyone for the help!
The script form www.solidscripts.com is working great! I'm using it on my site at www.gotherenow.org.
My site is getting a new look, but you may find some enjoyable educational & adventure links there such as: on-line storm chaser videos, talking e-mail, wild vacations, ect.
Again thanks for the advice!
