Determining NaN

I saw this a LONG time ago, and didn't write it down, because I didn't need it at the time, so of course when I DO need it, I think I am an idiot.

Anyways, how would I check if a value is equal to NaN?

typeof() returns "number", but of course, it's NOT a number...
