Show part of movieclip frame

I am trying to show only part of a movieclip frame but have no clue how it is done.

For example.
I have a picture of a woman standing and i want flash to only show her head, how would I tell the display to show only from 0 pixels height to where ever her head ends?

Its an effect called Masking, much like in Photoshop or the like.
