NS4 Layers show/hide or hidden/visible?

Hi, i need a set of divs to have a show/hide function applied to them. Theyre descriptions for links on a navigation bar.

Thing is i need the show/hide function to work in ns4 upwards also.

at the moment they are all showing when they should be hidden.


I know theres a fix for NS6. A code that detects browser type and changes the visible/hidden to show/hide depending on browser type, but this doesnt work for NS4....

Has anyone got a workaround that will work for NS4?

Show/Hide only works in Netscape 4 with objects that are styled as "position:relative" or "position: absolute". That browser doesn't dynamically rearrange the page to accomodate things that show up and disappear either. Unless the dynamics are simple you're going to find NS 4 support is a lot of work.
