Automatic installer script

Can someone tell me where to start building an automatic installer script like the one found @ http://www.xav.com/cgi-sys/cgiwrap/xav/install.cgi

I have no idea how to make and FTP connection and upload files, etc.

hey ...well i duno if people use these...i dont of fear that they also save your details...bit strange like that lol...well anyway if you check out perlmonks.com or activestate.com there is plently of documentation on there about this,...failing that i`ll write up some script examples for your if you get desprate

I can't manage to get the script to do what I want. Because I can't find any article on how to connect to an ftp-server...

Could you write a simple example script for me?

Maybe you can give me the script with errors so I can try to get them out myself ;)

I still really need this script and I'm waiting for the one you promised me :rolleyes:
