my tiscali user space does not support php! i am not new to webdesign but ive never ventured into php before i wud like to but its not supported, can i uplaod a php program or sumthing to my space and then my code will work??? help please. mO

No, that ain't gonna work.
Your host must support PHP if you want to use it. There are (were?) some free webhosting services that support PHP, though I would recommend to spend the tiny amount of money to rent hosting space that suits your needs and has a decent support.

Lycos has free php hosting and i think angel fire might as well
