Dual Screens

Hey, I would like to put a 2nd screen on my PC but do not want to spend £100 on a DualHead2Go Box. Currently on my PC I have a NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT 256MB Graphics card, but it only has a DVI and HDMI Input, and I also don't want to spend like £200 on a HD 22" screen (The DVI input is in use). I was thinking I could buy anouther graphics card with 2 DVI input, but keep my current graphics card. If I plugged the screens into the 2 DVI Card would I still benifit from my current card? And would it make a difference if I plugged one screen into each card?

You could buy a HDMI-DVI adaptor. Just a thought...
