You should check out http://www.pricewatch.com for their deals. I don't know if you have the OS cd/dvd but you can get a good pc with OS for a good deal. Here is a link for some good ones
http://www.pricewatch.com/computer_systems_with_os/athlon_64_3200_win.htm

If you already have an OS cd/dvd here is another link to get a PC without OS
http://www.pricewatch.com/computer_systems_no_os/athlon_64_3200.htm

Hope this helps

My advice would to be to take the plunge and buy a new computer quite soon. Paying money to upgrade a computer that old is basically throwing money away, and believe me, I know.

I would also recommend just taking the plunge and gettign a new PC but if you really want to upgrade it, I would get 2gb of DDR2 ram if you are running Vista or XP. If possible, get it in one stick. You can get some good deals on that kind of stuff at newegg or tigerdirect.

As for the ghz, that is for the CPU and completely separate thing from RAM.

Finally, about your graphics, if you have integrated graphics and are running Vista, turn off AERO and transparent windows and all that stuff. It should make your PC run faster.

His mainboard seemingly only supports DDR RAM. Yeah.

I doubt that computer uses DDR2 memory.

@plattenumdesign:

You need to make sure what type of memory your computer currently uses so that you buy the right type. Additionally also check to see what the maximum amount of memory the motherboard will support.
