View Full Version : Site Review for possible redesign

Hey all,

I'm in the process of redesigning my current site (www.yourlistonline.com) in to a more modern look and feel.

Here's what I've come up with so far:

Can you let me know what your overall impression of the design is? Better or worse than the current site? What about colors, fonts, etc?

PS: I've only tested in FF, so it may be wonky in IE.

It's very wonky in IE, both of them.

You're sort of in between the two. I like the header from the first but the body from the second...

I agree. And I think you'd be better trying for a non-JS dependent nav menu. I have 'noscript' on FF and I had to disable it to see your nav menu as you intended it to be.

I don't dislike your current design but, I prefer the main part of the second.

Just looked at your site in IE6 - the current one and it is very wonky. the large image is to the right and beneath what appears to be the rigth div ~ with the phrase, 'create a list for anybody'.

Thanks for the feedback, and thanks for the catch in IE6 on the current site. I've fixed that issue.

I really haven't put much effort (on the new design) in the header yet. I was focusing mostly on the body content / layout for now. I'll need to work with my graphic artist to bring in something similar in the header.

Overall, sounds like I'm moving in the right direction though.

Any other suggestions / feedback is certainly welcome.

btw - I just got a new IP, so the review site is here now:

I think you could make the navigation links more appealing by adding a good(with glazing/gradient ) background image than simply using a background color.
