Automated mailing system without CDONTS installed?

Is there any other way then using CDONTS to have a mailing system in ASP?

There are plenty of 3rd party vendors who supply mail components, I use W3 JMail from Dimac. They have a free version of this component available from www.dimac.net.

Thanx alot - Ive downloaded it now and realised that you need administrative rights to install it on the server though... Ill keep it for when i get my domain sorted out, but for now i need something i can use on a free server if possible...

Many free service providers already have one or more mail components installed, check with your provider to see if they do.
