Hi Everybody !

When you develop a website, how do you organise your work ?

I use a text editor with syntax coloration (Notepad++ or/and Kubuntu editor).

I have a ckecking list to control each file (well, te be sure to not forgot something).

I always use a diagram (made with Open Office Impress. But I tried DIA too) and an Open Office Calc Sheet to know where are my variables.

Some examples :

And you, how do you work ?

Thank you and have a nice day

I use Sitespinner for layout (used to use Frontpage, but it sucks) and PHPDesigner2008 to finish programming.

To keep everything organized, I use the old fashion method of a pencil and paper. I also use the same method to list what features or changes I need to make and have made.

I do the layout in photoshop and dreamweaver and then code it by hand. As for ideas, pencil and paper. Same with functionality and features, all pencil and paper

Since my work is mostly for my friends and therefore very much centered around a CMS, I don't really have much in the way of server-side to concern me.

I usually either dive in coding and do the graphics on-the-fly or mockup in Photoshop. I then create a functional static HTML page. After that, I adapt it for server-side processing.

Yeah, I don't do server side either (php/mysql) so I just make my sites/layouts on the fly from scratch. no process. same as cyan
Use gedit, gimp and firezilla
