hi ,

I have one modem cable plugged in router and then router distributes internet through LAN and wireless.

But from yesterday only one computer is having internet with all other inactive.

Usually the router gives its own ip address like 192.168.0.1 , .0.2 and so on.

I tried resetting the router facory setting.
Then connect the LAN cable to laptop nd wireless off.
The LAN got connected and ipconfig displays the ip as 192.168.0.2.
But internet did'nt worked.
After few seconds , the internet starts working.
When i typed the IPconfig , then ip of laptop became 58.68.102.....

When i tried the router gateway adress , i was not able to connect to router.

This ahppens with all the computer , Initially when i restart the router. Then router is connect to all computers but internet is not working. However after few seconds only computer get connected to internet and its IP got changed and it looses its connection from the router.

All other computers still remain connected to router with local ips but , internet is not working on them

Is it any virus related issue. Someone was saying that there may be virus on the network which is causing the problem but i am not sure.

There can't be problem with router because i tried the factory settings as well and it has the same problem. So something is causing only one computer to work

Any ideas

What were you doing before it stopped working?

Is the cable modem plugged into the WAN port on the router? Once you confirm that, do any of the computers obtain an IP address from the router? If they do, log into the control panel on the router and check to see if the router obtained an address from the cable modem (or if the static IP is correct if you are using one of those).

The internet is working now. i think the dmz featue of router was on , which was placing one computer out of NAT

all internet are working but the default gateway is shows two ip address like

58.234.222.1
192.168.2.1

I don't know why is that.Initially i had only 192.168.2.1 as default gateway.
I have resetted the setting of router.

Where can be the problem

Is it possible that each computer is connecting to a different network? If that doesn't work, try manually setting the IP adress.

Is that extra default gateway showing up on all computers?

It showed up at that time on all computers. but now its shows only 192.168.2.1 only as gateway.

It don't know what was the problem and how it got fixed
