I don't know why I am unable to edit my posts. I noticed that someone was going to a page I have deleted recently (404 message) and I can't remove the link from the post since I can't edit.

At the bottom of the page it says I may edit my posts, but at my posts my options are Quote, Quick Reply, and the options like Reputation, flag post, etc.

Ah, but I'm allowed to edit this post.. I've cleared caches many times since those posts have been made, even just now.

If I'm not mistaken there is a 7 day time limit for editing you're posts, and those posts have exceeded their editing timeline.

There's a time limit of 2 days for a user to edit the actual contents of his post (14 days for the thread title). If you need a post edited after that, please pm me with the thread URL and what you wish to edit out.

Correct, but the time limit might be shorter, I was thinking it was 2 days.

The reason this rule was implemented is to prevent people from going back and erasing the contents of all their posts once they get the answer they need.

If you would like the links can be removed from your posts by a moderator.

Seems like WA beat me to it.

Oracleguy gets an award for knowing the time limit for editing posts! I even had to look up with that was again.

Can't seem the find the place to edit the thread title in the PHP forum
My post is only 6 days old and I would like to change it to "Resolved"

Thread prefixes usage. In some forums, you can select from a list a prefix to add to your thread's title, for example, a prefix of "resolved" once you've received a satisfactory answer to your question. To add a prefix after your thread has been initially posted, click on the "Edit" button under the first post of the thread, then the "Go Advanced" button. You have 14 days to update your thread's title.
But the "edit" button disappears after 2 days :o
