Web site: www.classic-corvettes-ky.com I have 6 gif files of Corvette flags that do not look good. The vertical alignment is my question. Partial code follows:

If it were me, I would actually make all of them the same exact dimensions,
such as width: 75, height: 70. And by that, I mean to edit the .gif images
themselves and make them all the same. Center the logo within that .gif image
and leave the white space around it.

Now, you picked "white" as the transparent color, so it messes-up your images ...
White becomes gray in your case. So, when you edit your .gif, fill the white
spaces around each logo with some other color that is not used in any of the logos (like green).
Leave the white color on the logos where it's supposed to be white. Then, make
green your .gif transparent color.

Now, your logos will have white where they are supposed to be. Whatever area is green
(which is transparent), will become your background ... gray.

They will also be centered properly because all of the 6 .gif images are positioned
the same vertically (they all have the same "height" dimension).

What program do you suggest I use to do as you suggest?

I used a program called Total Image Converter and resized as you suggested. As far as white where some grey is I have nothing to do this part of the conversion with. What should I get to do this? Bob

Use IRFANView to load a .gif and resave it with a transparent color you select.

There are some things I would change, but these are based
on my own personal opinions. This is your site, so take these
suggestions as just that.

I would eliminate the hit counter ... nobody cares about that,
and that number can be made to say anything. If you need stats,
use your webhost's control panel to view the site logs.

I would use only a white background, not the gray.
That would also solve your gray transparent background problem.

You're using Microsoft (frontpage?) to design your site ... with a
WYSIWYG editor ... but the site looks like a typical 1995 FrontPage site.

You should find a nice CSS template (a free one) to use as the layout,
and then customize the graphics to make it your own. You can search
on Google for free CSS templates.

Define who the site is for. Is it just for your members? Or is it for everyone
like myself that might want to know more about Classic Corvettes?

Your main (home) page should define the purpose and "feel" for your site.
I should know what your site is all about and who it's for, just by viewing
the home page.

If your site is for someone like me, who knows nothing about Classic Vettes,
then why not teach me something about them? Give me something that grabs
my attention and provides me with some information.

And spell out Kentucky ... you'd be surprised at how many people won't know what KY means.
I'm assuming it means Kentucky?
