Stretching Height of div

I have a 2 column page. I need the left column to stretch (height) according to the right column. Everything is written in DIV. Is this possible? If yes how since with DIV you have to set a height.
HELP

If they are placed by floats, you'd need to use some faux column (http://www.alistapart.com/articles/fauxcolumns/) method.

It is in use here (http://exitfegs.co.uk/Sources.html). Does not use Background repeat.
