Placing footer on the bottom of the page?

I have this footer at the bottom of each page, and need to learn how to get it to be at the bottom of the page without using a two dozen break tags.

As you can see its up close to the middle. I wish for it to stick to the bottom like glue.

So for a learning experience I just add

position: absolute;
bottom: 0px;

to my footers to keep them down?
