Microformats, RDFa, eRDF Comparision

Ok, hopefully someone else has done some research into this and doesn't have headaches from it all. But here is the question, which of these methods of including reusable semantic markup inside of pages is best?

It appears that microformats are used most widely of the 3, and that W3C puts its bets on RDFa.

I honestly just can't seem to wrap my head around it all and make a choice about how to use such a concept, much less which one to pick. Has anyone else done work with these things, and if so what have you done or learned?

I have composed An XHTML+RDFa exemplar document (http://jp29.org/rdfaprimer.php) (accessible to People with Disabilities) that is served via content-negotiation as content (MIME) type application/xhtml+xml to XML compliant Browsers (most) and as text/html to MSIE Browsers. The markup validates as W3C XHTML+RDFa; the stylesheet as W3C CSS 2.1; the RSS Feed & FOAF as RDF/XML/ (W3c Validator -- Triples of Data Model, RDF/XML source code & Graph of the Data Model).

This is just to illustrate how the Doctype and RDFa syntax works (and includes Creative Commons information). The RDF/RDFa/FOAF concepts and applications are indeed "hard to get one's head around" -- my suggestion is to first read through the Wiki thoroughly, then the other RDFa references then "play around" composing experimental documents. I am sorry that I am too ill at present to provide detailed information -- it is all I can do to finish this post.
