Hi guys,

Trying to validate http://www.glen-lodge.co.uk/contact.html but Im getting

Sorry, I am unable to validate this document because on line 63 it contained one or more bytes that I cannot interpret as utf-8 (in other words, the bytes found are not valid values in the specified Character Encoding). Please check both the content of the file and the character encoding indication.

The error was: utf8 "\xA3" does not map to Unicode

I understand that its got something to do with the google map I have on the page and also the charset but what do I do to resolve this issue?

Thanks for loooking!

Just select a different encoding on the validator to override the utf, I think ISO encoding will do.

This is line 63:

<img src="images/roomsPrice.jpg" alt="Rooms from 35 per person per night" />

Google suggest the \xa3 is related to the currency sign there.

You may find this useful.
The sign in particular needs encoding as shown in this listing here. (http://www.dragonwinds.com/resources/html-codes.shtml)

& # 163 ; all four including the semi-colon but without the spaces.
