Okay, I have installed Win98 on computers from DOS countless times, but this is a first.

Win98 crashed (what a surprise) when it was loading and well, the computer thinks it is there when it loads, but no 98 windows files even exsist. I can get into the dos prompt from the safe screen. I can not even get the drive to reformat and start over.

What file would have any of this start-up information in it?
Any clues how to reformat the drive so I can just start over?

Thanks

Use a boot disk. If you don't have one download one from Bootdisk.com (http://bootdisk.com).

AH, thank you,,,I took the disk I had and opened it on my computer, ends up the disk I had had a bad sector on it, all the commands worked except format...lol

Now that the 20 gig drive is reformatting, I am already ready to through windows out of a 100 stroy building and hop on it. If only my gf would use linux.....heheh

Thanks
