Looking for new mods!

Hi guys:
It's been a long time since I last asked for new mods, and as a result of some mods leaving and new forum categories added, quite a few patches of "no mods land" have developed. To correct this, it's time for another round of new mods request!

With so many categories on CF right now, it's becoming less and less practical to have individual mods assigned to each category. In light of this, I'll be assigning mods to entire category groups. There are currently four of them on CF that all could use some reinforcement. They are:

- Client side development
- Server side development
- Computing & Sciences
- Other forums

They correspond to the table headers on CF's frontpage. As a mod of one of these areas you would be patrolling any/all individual forum categories within the assigned group. To be considered for a mod you must be a member in good standing on CF, are generally knowledgeable in the categories you're modding, and most importantly, be passionate about helping out others and fighting crime- I mean spam.

With that said, you can reply here or pm me with your interest. Please include which forum group you'd be most interested in modding, or any one of them.

I think I'm going to take a shot at Server Side development.
Let me give some background.
When I finished high school, I could hardly navigate my way around a computer. Shortly after high school I got my first pc, and my awesome dial up internet (upgraded to high speed as soon as it was available)! I became interested in web development and started with html of course. I decided I needed an easier way to update my content, so I began my programming career in the web with perl. At the time, PHP was a very new language, and I didn't make a full switch to it until PHP3 - FI 2 was slower and had less features than Perl.
I had a lot of questions, and few answers. So, I joined Coding Forums 6 years ago in 2002 to request help and information around PHP. I *think* it was rmedic and raf that really helped me out, and made my transition into a programmer quite painless.
After a few years, I returned to school to expand my skills; taking a significant break from CF while attending due to time constraints. During the course of my education I became proficient at several other languages, with emphasis on Java, C# and VB (as well as C/C++, Ruby, geez too many to even remember). I graduated top of my class with honors and distinction with focus on programming, networking and hardware.
For server side development languages, I am proficient with PHP, Java, and ASP.NET through C# (and currently considering certification for these languages), and was proficient with Perl and SQL (though a thin film of rust has moved over these two which I'm currently scraping of :P). The recovery of the SQL is going well, though the perl is still rusty. I am familiar with Ruby (ror as well), JSP and Python, though I have never used Coldfusion (limited only to short syntax overviews and never written an app).

I am by no means perfect, but am always willing to give a hand if I think I can help. Although I am generally quite busy, I try to drop by the forums on a regular basis, but try to limit it to only a few times a day (so it looks like I have a life :)).

Here's my, um, statement. :D

I, BabyJack, have been coding for a few years, covering x/HTML, touching on JavaScript and XML. I've been here with CodingForums for a few months now (seems like years), and I've seen it all. Spam being left there. I get sick of it.
And, since I'm at school, I have a lot of time on my hands, mostly spent on the Sims. And since they're getting a bit boring, I need enlightenment.

So, I've briefly spent a moment on coding languages. So here is the list in order of how much I know of them.

I'm also quite good at graphic design & CMS, like Joomla!.
So, I think I will be a good moderator because I spend most of my time on the internet, and I pop by CodingForums regularly. I also think that I can be better than most people, because I can be flexible, can spend hours on the internet, and can work for Free! :D
