help please, getting the hover color propery from css

Hello every body

I'm new to javascript, and I've been searching and trying for a week now to read the a:hover properties from css using javascript but I still can't figure it out.
I tried "getcomputedstyle" but instead of "hover" properties it has been giving me the properties of the anchor itself.

can some one help me please?:(

Ok let me see if I understand this right. You have a pseudo hover condition in your CSS for a link, and you want a onmouseover or onmouseclick attribute to alert the styles of your css hover condition styles??

If this is right, you cant.
Pseudo hover conditions can not be declared inline on an element and there for you can not be alerted.
