Greetings -

Does anyone have a recommendation for an image/photo gallery component/software that can run on a Windows-based server which allows my client (who is not computer savvy) to upload her own images to her own categories without my intervention?

I'd like to apply a theme/style to the gallery pages but allow her complete control over the images, captions and categories.

I realize that there are many products out there but I'm seeking advice for people who have actually used these products and can provide a recommendation.

Thanks in advance!

Well this depends on a few things. I use different systems based on what my needs are, how many images, what kinds of features, how I want to display them, etc.

Gallery2 - http://gallery.menalto.com/ one of the best systems when it comes to large scale image processing. It doesn't have the best templates, and in my opinion could use some work with usability.

The rest are basically XML or smaller albums I've used for little image projects like product display and so forth. There are more systems, but this Gallery2 is very powerful and should be able to do just about anything. You may find yourself developing part of the theme yourself though.
