swf smilies

hi i am new to this im after a bit of help i brought flashcoms v6 video chat and it says you add your own smilies as long aS its in swf format well i converted a few smilies to swf but no work i did all what they said all i get is a blank select smiley i was wondering wen i convert do i have to set the swf file to my web address sorry about being a real noob
