Don't use extensions, and don't rely on automated code to produce something for you. What kind of menu are you looking for? There are lots of different kinds, so hard to even know where to start suggesting to look.
PS: Computer generated code may 'work' but it is hard to implement and update, as well as often invalid. I recommend that you search the web for an example of what you want your menu to look like, and let us know.

that's exactly what I want: automated with dreamweaver, I come from frontpage, but frontpage is nothing compare to dreamweaver and I kind of want to do something fast that's not your usual link on the navigation bar, in the past when I wanted to do some nice menu, I would probably insert some java driven menus, but since I'm trying to do it in dreamweaver I thought may be it has some build in capabilities for menus, by build in I mean point click and be done!

So you are opposed to a simpler and better solution for one that is automated?
First link looks like one...but really don't do it please.
Dreamweaver is no better than Frontpage if you just want to try and automate web page making. It will only make it very difficult to maintain and use, as well as only allow you only the features the extension provides.
You still didn't say what kind of menu, horizontal, vertical, dropdown, lots of depth, what?

What version of Dreamweaver do you have? Dreameaver 8 and up come with the Spry Framework which allow for some decent menus. If you go to View > Toolbars > Insert you will see a toolbar come up if you don't have it already. Click on Spry and then click on what you want to put into your document. Dreamweaver has a little wizard for it and will get the files you need for the menu.
