lol, anyhow, why do you want the source code - all source can be ripped, apart from serverside scripts.

methinks that source code was generated by microsoft... wouldnt touch it with a barge pole ;)

i guess you could use something like onbeforeprint="hideEverything();"...

or @media print { body{visibility: hidden;}}

dont have a clue if the above is valid... ive never used @media things before...

@media print { body{display: none;}} works to prevent printing in modern browsers (Netscape 4 is not a modern browser).

umm, where would you putthat in your source code? and what type of script is that? javascript or java or something? if it is, do i need to put it in a script tag or anything?

i think there are a few questions that still need answering here. when you say "it wouldn't print" do you mean that the printer wouldn't work for this page, but continued to work for other things, do you mean that the paper accepted this print job, but the paper came out blank? what exactly do you mean? also, which information were you trying to print out? was it on the main page, or did you follow a link first?

i checked through the code on the main page, and as far as i can tell, despite the fact that it uses a bunch of proprietary MS smarttag stuff, nothing it does should in any way effect printing.

Alright, this is how it is: a guy that works with me was surfing the web for business reasons when he comes to this page. He went to the home page and tried to print all the information by clicking the printer in the top of his web browser, but to his dismay, it wouldnt print. When he clicked the printer, it brought up the print screen and when he clicked print, it closed the window and then just sat there and didnt print anything. Then he tried printing some other random page, and he could print it. When he went back to the page to try again, it still wouldnt print. Then our boss tried the same thing on his computer and it did the same thing. That is what happened. Does that help clarify anything?

ok, i've searched for any evidence of code that prevents printing, either intentionally, or as a bug, and i couldn't find anything after nearly 15 or 20 minutes of searching. this makes me think it may have been a fluke. trying going back to the page and see if you can print it now.

if you can't then, i suspect this an as-of-yet unknown bug, relating to smart-tags (doesn't surprise me that it's unknown, because this is the first i've ever seen smart-tags actually in use). in which case, the only way to get that code, would be to copy all of the code (not the content, just the code) from the quatra page, and go through it line by line until you figure out which one is responsible for the no-print bug.
