We've never done this before so we're more than curious to see what you think... We're interested in everything you may find but navi stuff for sure.

Thank You!

I love the design! The colors are nice and the layout is simple.

It validates both Markup and CSS, and it doesn't use tables.

The only criticism I can think of, is the loading speed, it takes a long time to load. Maybe you can improve on that. But I like it.

I also experienced a very slow loading time. Perhaps your host is not providing enough bandwidth?

Great typography, I might suggest that you allow the text to size by clicking like some other sites do, or to increase the smaller font size. Sure it looks sleek, until someone is unable to read the text. I might even get as picky as to ask if you could lighten the paragraph text slightly?

The fact that you have huge images works very well with your site and I think with the audience.

At first I wasn't completely sure, but it is a Wordpress site. You have done well masking it I think.

Something of semantics, you have a News section, but sometimes I see Search the Blog. It might be good to keep the name consistent. Being picky about something like that means I think you are doing quite well with the site.

Wordpress is even updated...impressive.

It might be that and the amount of images on the site.

Mmm, I can't add much more so I'm going to be utterly ruthless and nitpicky:
I do like the heading image, it strikes an impression and drives the message home. But I fear it may be a little too big. All your content is pushed right down. To be honest--I'm not very sure why I think this--but I thought that it was a gallery and spent five minutes trying to figure out how to get to the next picture. Did you realize that the image might have these connoctations with the audience? Would you consider making it a gallery, like the news page, where you can simply press next?

Your logo refers to team-trs.com, but that's simply a redirect to totalracingsolutions.com. What did you consider when deciding on this solution? I like consistency, but here there is none.

On your main page, you're not using semantic headers, instead spans and line-breaks. Why? You've used them in other places, so why not here?

Finally, your footer. You seem to have lots of things which should by rights belong there--like the authorized reseller, telephone and email--scattered around the columns, giving a ragged appearence. What made you choose this option over putting the elements in their typical place?

I agree that the colours are rather good. That shade of green goes well on black. The gray body text seems a bit dark. Using a lighter shade would help readability.

On another note, I notice your RSS icon is all the way down at the bottom. If you want to get people to subscribe to your feed, perhaps that icon should be in a more noticeable location near the top.

I'm assuming your referring to the home page only as this is the only page with all the elements you refer to. Most of those elements are on the main page, not in the footer. I like what you're suggesting but just not quite sure what you mean by 'typical places'. I appreciate your comments a lot... This is my first time so you can assume I'm a bit slow, break it down for me if you would.

I'll go to bat for Cyan, we are rivals anyways.

I think what shes suggesting is that the bottom of the page seems scattered and less organized than the rest of the page. On other pages you put the Authorized Reseller on the right column, but here you place it differently. There is little difference between the bottom of the text, and the start of the footer items. Perhaps they can be arranged so they stick out a little better and seem more rooted on the page.

I think it's a nice, clean design. I love all the effects you have on the page.

you have a lot of css warnings:

http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?profile=css2&warning=2&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.totalracingsolutions.com%2F

check the colors and ignore them if is ok, :)

try to reduce the size of:
http://www.totalracingsolutions.com/wp-content/themes/trs2/images/bg_new.gif
( why don't use background-color: #000 instead? )
http://www.totalracingsolutions.com/wp-content/themes/trs2/images/welcomeImage_07.jpg

to many css file( my opinion) if you can reduce the number is ok

- I hardly discover that is a menu which start with gallery.
- RSS must be somewhere up, not there
- you have a link( on logo) to you, :), why? you already have a Home on each page.

I hope this help. :)

Because black isn't a very nice colour. With dark grey, it's a nice soothing colour on the eye and goes well with green. I would stick with grey.

It should link to the homepage. I think thats where everybody clicks to go back to the main page.

Hey,

thanks to everyone for the feedback, i changed a couple things on the home page and did what i could do about the load speed but i think it's the host in part.

can anyone tell me if they know how to separate the feed button from the safe site logo but keep them on the same line.

Anyhow, thanks again!

I still welcome any other reviews...

You have a <p> tag around the RSS icon. You should also put the <script> code below it inside that same <p> to get them next to each other.

<p class="attributes"><a href="http://www.totalracingsolutions.com/feed/" title="RSS Feed"> <img src="http://www.totalracingsolutions.com/wp-content/themes/trs2/images/feed-icon32x32.png" alt="RSS Feed" /></a>

Not bad for your first time, but can you compress some of your images?

Ok, that helmet made my stomach rotate...but then again, I'm afraid of everything.

I didn't know your site was comedic. I thought it was an online store.
